Round About the Table

So, my inaugural post (translation: relearning how to use Blogger again) I wanted to have some fun again in Blog-World. I am certainly tired of having to be all work and no play in it. So, I am participating in a meme.

A meme is not just another name for Grandma, it means one of my most important, best friends/bridesmaids in the whole wide world is having a question on her blog that I get to interact with on my blog. She posted this a week ago, and I DID NOT HAVE HER BACK (in the police protection sense).

So, Dawn, here it is....

Do you prefer coffee or tea? Hot or cold? Sugar, cream, etc.?

Only HOT green or white tea. Jasmine Green Tea, bought in bulk from here. I even have a Utlilitea bought from here.   My other favorite is the Berry White Tea from Borders (Christmas hint). I am a tea snob. Absolutely no sweetener, that would ruin the depth of flavor of the tea.

However I make about 5 gallons of sweet tea for my sweet husband a week. People say my tea tastes like Cheezy's tea. I would say that is a very high complement.

How did you meet your husband?

The answer to this question is great, THE SAME WAY DAWN DID! Dan and I met at the Baptist Student Union at University of Memphis. I held his watch while he played volleyball. However it was the next time that I met him that I wondered about this guy. The third time I met him, I knew I was going to marry him. Just ask Connie. She was there.

What is your favorite subject to teach? Why?

Somehow in the last year, I have forgotten that one of my main passions and jobs is as a homeschool mom. One thing most people know about me is that I don't do a whole lot of teaching. I love teaching history and doing read alouds.  However, God has sent Joy-Bug, who makes sure we do at least one science experiment a week, math everyday, and grammar.  She is going to have a rockin' education because of her desire to learn.  I love discussing Omnibus 2 with Kae-Kae, she is really getting into the Logic stage.  Once we drops more meds, her brain is going to be zipping along past mine.

Grace and Peace-

Heather

  1. Aww...thanks for playing.
How sweet that you held his watch for him.
I'll have to keep the tea suggestions in mind.
