Not our home....

I have a funeral to attend soon.

This is not one of those happy, celebrating ones, but a dark, depressing, difficult funeral. Our good friend's three and a half year old was abused to the head. At first, the doctors wanted to do surgery to reduce the swelling on the brain, but then said he would only have a 20% chance of survival. After 24 hours, they decided to take him off life support.  Now we are waiting for the final call.

So, another great chance to deal with the problem of pain.

Another chance to cling to God's grace through the pain.

Another reminder that this world is not our home and that the ENEMY is prowling about, reigning over people who are not full of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 1:18-22 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people who suppress the truth by their unrighteousness, because what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes – his eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, because they are understood through what has been made. So people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.
